Joe Monahan

Joe Monahan, Maxum Brazilian Jiu Jitsu head instructor and founder. Joe is BJJ Black Belt currently under Matt and Nick Serra (Team Serra).
As well as a 1st Grade Homicide Detective with the NYPD.
Joe started out learning martial arts as a child. Joe has studying multiple styles over the years such as Japanese Jiu Jitsu, and kickboxing.
He then began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Joe has conducted many self defense, tactics and rape prevention cliniques for the NYPD.
He has won multiple grappling tournaments in the United States.
Joe still currently trains at the Serra Academy.

Alex Aristides

Alex Aristides, Maxum Brazilian Jiu Jitsu head instructor and founder. Alex is BJJ Brown Belt currently under Matt and Nick Serra (Team Serra).
Alex started out learning martial arts as a teenager. Studying multiple styles over the years such as Japanese Jiu Jitsu, Judo and kickboxing.
Then began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He has won countless grappling tournaments and other matches over the years. He has competed around the United States and in Brazil.
Alex still currently trains at the Serra Academy.

Joe "Slapshot" Kolm, Maxum Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor. Joe is BJJ Purple Belt (4th Degree) currently under Matt and Nick Serra (Team Serra).
Joe is currently is New York State Trooper and Defensive Tactics Instructor for the New York State Police.
He has won countless grappling tournaments, such as the Pan Ams and more.
Joe still currently trains at the Serra Academy.

Jimmy Hoolan

Jimmy Hoolan, Maxum Muay Thai Kick Boxing instructor. Jimmy is under IMAA founder Ray Longo. Also a certified Jeet Kun Do instructor,
and teaching for Ray Longo as well. Jimmy also assists in preparing the Serra-Longo team.
